Emergency Alert System

The Outdoor Advertising Association has partnered with the Pennsylvania State Police for many years to use our digital advertising signs for their Amber Alert System. This system alerts citizens of Pennsylvania when a child has been abducted. This program was developed for Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania State Police and is named after 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was abducted while playing near her home in Texas and subsequently murdered in 1996. The Amber Alert provides descriptive information about the child and the perpetrator to the traveling public via digital advertising signs in hopes of enlisting the public's support in search efforts. The goal is to save the life of a child.
